2001 Census Housing Series Issue 6: Revised Aboriginal Households
The sixth Highlight of CMHC's 2001 Census Housing Series examines the housing conditions of Aboriginal households in canada. In 2001, 976 000 people identified as North American Indian, Metis, or Inuit, accounting for 3.3% of the population and 3.4% of all households. This Highlight explores changes in household and housing conditions between the 1996 and 2001 Censuses.
