Affordable Housing and Homelessness By the Numbers
Close to 1.5 million households in Canada can’t afford decent housing because they can’t find a suitable home that costs less than 30 per cent of their income, or that doesn’t need major repairs. These households are often forced to make difficult choices between paying for housing, buying healthy groceries or signing their kids up for the local sports team.
