-Domains: 4, 6,7a -Summary: analysis of the problems that immigrant youth, and other youth in general, have in accessing the Apprenticeship program and in entering the job market. It compares Canada's Apprenticeship programs to American and German models. -Issues: problems faced by immigrant youth entering the job market: language, skills (shared by other Canadian youth), acculturation, traditional roles and upbringing, unfamiliarity with the Canadian system, discrimination; no housing, stability when they first arrive, lack of contacts, extra difficult to find jobs. -Conclusion: This study has a good analysis of the opportunities and barriers faced by youth in the Apprenticeship program. It analyzes the barriers for immigrant youth and youth in general face finding employment. While this study assumes that the youth have housing, the same problems would apply to homeless immigrant youth as well - only worse, because they don't' have the stability of a home.
