Beating the streets traces six years in the lives of two inner-city aboriginal teens. It's also the story of Jean Cloutier, the teacher and the former dropout determined to help them. He founded a drama program that let teens explore important issues like family violence and suicide. Joe also took on the challenge of opening an alternative school for teens at risk.
