Contextualizing Homelessness: Critical Theory, Homelessness, and Federal Policy Addressing the Homeless
Author(s):
Homelessness in the US remains a grave and persistent problem despite the efforts of homeless activists, advocates for the homeless, government bureaucrats, and policy makers. If we are to move forward in solving the problem, a critical theory of homelessness is necessary. This project employs three different disciplinary approaches--social constructionism, policy analysis, and rhetorical analysis--as a first step toward such a critical theory. (editorial review)
