Home Coming Community Choice Coalition: Know the Issues
Home Coming Community Choice Coalition promotes the rights of people with mental illness to live where they choose. People with mental illness are also protected by law. So are people with other disabilities, youth, newcomers, and people on social assistance. It is as unjust - and illegal - to say "we don't want these people on our street," as to discriminate against ethnic or religious minorities. The Know the Issues webpage on their website is like a fact sheet covering legal rights, NIMBY, and how to spot and end discrimination in the municipal planning process.
