This study is the first enumeration of the street homeless population in Canada. Past attempts have been challenged on the shortcoming of their choices of methods. This enumeration directly addressed the lessons learned from previous attempts, and improvements to the methodology are presented and discussed. New lessons learned and recommendations for application to future enumerations are discussed in this paper.
