Housing: Community Planning and Renewal
Community planning, renewal and revitalization refers to programs, projects and initiatives that seek to balance future growth while keeping existing housing stock, infrastructure and community facilities from declining. Good quality housing is a key component of healthy neighborhoods and housing rehabilitation is an important part of urban revitalization and community economic development. Various planning, renewal and revitalization approaches have important implications and applications - across rural, sub-urban and urban landscapes - for communities, families and individuals.
