Training & Capacity Building

Communities of Practice

AWHC and the COH have been working to create and foster communities of practice around these program models – a place for practitioners to come together and share best practices and key learnings from their own communities. These unique spaces are cultivated by the national practice and implementation team and build on AWHC’s ongoing work as the host of the National Learning Community on Youth Homelessness.

Training and Technical Assistance

Training and technical assistance for the MtS DEMS is coordinated by AWHC.

The Making the Shift Youth Homelessness Demonstration Lab is a partnership between A Way Home Canada and the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness with the support of MaRS Centre for Impact Investing. Phase One of MtS DEMS (2017-2020) has been funded by the Government of Canada through the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS).
