By now you’ve probably heard the word on the street. The Canadian Observatory on Homelessness (COH) has launched a new website: the Homelessness Learning Hub.

Last year, the COH reached out to a range of organizations in order to re-imagine the Community Workspace on Homelessness. In response, the COH conducted surveys, interviews and focus groups with a diverse range of stakeholders to get a better understanding of what the sector needs.

We heard what you had to say and we are keen to fill these gaps. That’s why we have created Canada’s first professional development website for frontline and managerial service providers in the homelessness sector.

Do you have a great resource to add?

The COH is now collecting content for the Homelessness Learning Hub. We are asking you to share with us the best professional development tools you know of in the sector.

Specifically, we are looking for resources that fit within this criteria:

  1. Practical tools that can be used for professional development purposes.
    • Audience 1: Frontline staff
    • Audience 2: Managers
  2. Tools that fit within the national priority areas: Prevention, Data Management, Housing First, Coordinated Access, Systems Planning, and Case Management.
  3. A wide range of resources (e.g. toolkits, guides, factsheets, etc.) in both English and French, but we especially encourage multi-media such as video tutorials, webinar recordings, infographics, etc.

All resources will be reviewed for inclusion based on the criteria noted above. As the website grows, we will add new topics and create full self-paced course modules with the resources you provide.
