The Center for Self-Help Research brings together consumers, mental health service providers, and researchers to study aspects of consumer-directed, self-help mental health and its relationship to the public mental health system. Its major current project is an outcome study of participants who are homeless and mentally disabled in self-help agencies and professionally provided mental health services. The Center disseminates its findings through publications, conferences, and a series of working papers.
