Homelessness is usually considered in the context of larger urban centres rather than smaller towns and rural areas. However, housing and homelessness issues do exist in rural areas and small towns that should not be overlooked. In some ways, addressing these challenges in rural settings is even more difficult as services are not available to the extent they are in bigger cities. This HPS Teleforum will endeavour to better understand rural homelessness from the complementary perspectives of a researcher and a service provider.
