The Table de quartier L’Engrenage de Saint-Roch piloted a project titled Projet de Vie de parvis- soutien à la cohabitation sociale : Impact sur l’itinérance.
The objective of this 15-month project was to pilot and demonstrate, through an evaluation, the effectiveness of one of their current practices: Vie de parvis, a program conducted by this organization since 2013.
The Vie de parvis program puts into practice actions in support of cohabitation and social inclusion, as a means of combating and preventing homelessness in one of the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Quebec City. Through the results of the evaluation of this program, l'Engrenage aims to reach more women fleeing violence and young people.
This project was funded in part by the Government of Canada's Homelessness Partnering Strategy’s Innovative Solutions to Homelessness program. The opinions and interpretations provided in the publication are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the Government of Canada.
