First Nations peoples have a rich history of wellness that extends back in time for thousands of years. First Nations peoples practised hunting, fishing and gathering of traditional foods and medicines and enjoyed good health and wellness due to a lifestyle that was active, based on healthy traditional diets and enriched by ceremonial, spiritual and emotional healing practices.
