This pilot study aimed to contribute to a more thorough understanding of the relationship between youth who have been in the care of child welfare and youth homelessness in a Canadian context. This research project had two broad objectives: To identify the factors that lead to homelessness for some, while others, who may be in an equally vulnerable situation (i.e. in care) do not become homeless; and To assess the need for a broader study using the same or a modified research methodology.
