Scaling the Success of Homeward Bound through Shared Measurement and a Community of Practice

WoodGreen Community Services piloted a project titled Scaling the Success of Homeward Bound through Shared Measurement and a Community of Practice.

The objective of this 11-month project was to pilot, develop and implement a common monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness of 11 community adaptations of their Homeward Bound program, and develop a set of resources and best practices to improve existing programs and expand to new communities across Canada.

Homeward Bound is a 4-year program that helps homeless and precariously housed single mothers to make a successful transition from poverty to independent living through the provision of wraparound supports including affordable housing, tuition assistance, childcare, life skills training, and employment supports.

This project was funded by the Government of Canada's Homelessness Partnering Strategy’s Innovative Solutions to Homelessness program. The opinions and interpretations provided in the publication are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the Government of Canada.
