Jennifer Eaman
Research Assistant, MtS DEMS
Jennifer is a research assistant on Toronto site’s Housing First for Youth (HF4Y) project. She affirms that lived experiences can be meaningful by informing her work with the knowledge she gathers both through community story-sharing and her own intersections. Jennifer is also committed to creating safer spaces through her private peer support practice that prioritizes Black queer and trans folks. She has previously dedicated time to facilitating research on food access barriers in Tkaronto /colonially so-called Toronto. Jennifer supplements the academic restrictions of her
BA Hons in Gender and Women’s studies by volunteering with crisis lines and resource sharing for safer sexwork. Jennifer emphasizes the importance of rest and community care by taking herself on hikes, baking for friends, and sharing funny photos of her two pets.
