Responding to Youth Homelessness: A Systems Approach Learning Series
This learning series follows our research forum Re-Imagining Our Response to Youth Homelessness, a Canadian and Global Perspective held in York Region on November 26, 2012. Between February and June 2013, we are inviting seven leading researchers/ practitioners from across Canada to participate in a learning series to further inform our response to youth homelessness. Presentations will explore upstream partnerships with education, health care, child protection and the youth justice sectors, as well as models of housing and innovative approaches to training/employment.

This learning opportunity is for leaders/representatives from various sectors across York Region, including education, child protection, health, children and youth mental health, hospitals, youth justice, police, social service organizations and regional, provincial and federal government. You are invited to attend all sessions to gain a better understanding of the youth homelessness “system” and reflect on current knowledge/expertise from researchers/ practitioners that can inform an integrated response to this issue.

Each session includes a keynote presentation, Q & A, and facilitated discussion.
Unable to attend? Each session will also be available as a webinar. See session details to register. Webinars will be recorded and available on the Homeless Hub shortly after.
