This report highlights the results of a combined Point-in Time Count and Period Prevalence Count and involved fulfilling separate Federal and Provincial guidelines for homelessness enumeration. The objective of the Everyone Counts- Nipissing District initiative was to gather demographic and numerical information on the District’s homeless population in order to more accurately understand the issues facing homeless individuals. The results gathered will assist the DNSSAB and local service providers in making more informed program and policy decisions with the goal of reaching our vision of creating healthy communities without poverty while reaching the Government of Ontario’s goal of ending chronic homelessness by 2025.
