This report attempts to highlight the ongoing housing needs in Nunavut and to amplify the voices of the Inuit and Nunavummiut whose pleas for safe and clean housing conditions have fallen on deaf ears for far too long. The damage caused by this neglect is beyond measure. Providing adequate housing in a way that fits Nunavut’s needs would have a positive effect not only on people’s living situations but also on their health, on the wellbeing of their families, and on the wellness of the entire communities.
