The Centre résidentiel et communautaire Jacques-Cartier (CCJC) piloted a research project titled Social Art Serving Youth Homelessness.
The objective of this 14-month project was to conduct research to create a model for the recognition and dissemination of social art practice as an instrument for social changes across Canada.
This project aimed to help Canadian communities and its stakeholders develop innovative and effective social art tools and practices to intervene with youth at risk or in a situation of homelessness and improve their living conditions. To do so, the CCJC deepened its knowledge in the field of social art by improving its own practices, created partnerships with other centers and finally participated in the dissemination of social art practice ideas.
This project was funded in part by the Government of Canada's Homelessness Partnering Strategy’s Innovative Solutions to Homelessness program. The opinions and interpretations provided in the publication are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the Government of Canada.
