Ashley Ward
Research Director, MtS DEMS
Ashley Ward, PhD is the Lead Researcher in the Making the Shift Youth Homelessness Demonstration Lab (MtS DEMS) at the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness. Working closely with A Way Home Canada and with a number of community partners, she is overseeing the research activities related to the Youth Homelessness Prevention and Housing First for Youth demonstration projects across Ontario and Alberta. Ash holds a Ph.D. in Psychological Science and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Ryerson University. She brings several years of experience working in community-based research, social service program development and quality improvement, and has formerly worked in a clinical capacity with young people experiencing mental health problems and youth in contact with the criminal justice system. When not doing research, Ash enjoys exploring art through creative writing and photography.
