Lauren Kimura
Research Coordinator, MtS DEMS
Lauren is the Research Coordinator for Making the Shift Youth Homelessness Demonstration Lab (MtS DEMS) at the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness. She holds a Masters in Public Health from the University of Toronto, specializing in Health Promotion, and has 5+ years of experience in designing, coordinating and implementing interdisciplinary mixed methods community-based research and evaluation projects in the fields of sexual health, mental health, and youth homelessness. Additionally, Lauren has contributed to a number of research and evaluation projects involving LGBTQ2S populations. She passionate about the intersectional health and mental health issues facing gender and sexual minorities -- a group that is disproportionately represented among the population of youth experiencing homelessness.
